The William Wilson Domestic Violence Scholarship (WWDVS) is a partnership between, celebrity clothing designer, William Wilson and Central Piedmont Community College. It was created to change the trajectory of generational domestic abuse by funding certification programs for students that are domestic violence survivors or children of survivors. These programs are 30-150 days long, and are designed to offer continuing education and certifications that allow Wilson Scholars to become marketing in the shortest amount of time possible. This will allow them to become employable, or start their own business with the skills to be successful.

"Most people find themselves stuck in domestic violence situations because they can't afford to leave their abuser. The thought behind this scholarship is, if you have the ability to be marketable and provide an income for yourself, you have a better chance or leaving and (remaining away from) an abusive situation." says founder William Wilson.  "In a domestic violence situation, most victims don't have the opportunity to spend 2 to 4 years in a normal collegiate environment. They may not survive that long. They need immediate assistance. That's what this scholarship is designed to do."

We plan to award the first scholarships in the Fall of 2023. With your help, we can make real changes in people's lives. Please donate to the scholarship by clicking the link below. You may be doing more that helping with an education. You may be saving a life.
